At the February 2018 WordPress London Meetup, founder, David Lockie, will be speaking about blockchain and how it is set to disrupt digital marketing.

What the talk will cover

David will describe what blockchain is, not only explaining the concept as a whole, but also decoding some of the jargon surrounding the burgeoning decentralised technology sector.

He will demonstrate the key advantages of blockchain, showing some real-world examples of blockchain marketing in practice, including in content marketing, SEO and display advertising.

He will take attendees through the trends and predictions for the blockchain market, relating the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead for marketers, including how cryptocurrency will change advertising.

Finally, he will give some specific pointers for digital marketers, telling them what they can be doing now to learn about and start to get involved with the blockchain world.

What is WordPress London Meetup?

WordPress London (#WPLDN) is a monthly meetup for web professionals and end users of WordPress. It is a community of some 2.500 developers, designers, business owners and users. Partnering with companies in the WordPress industry, #WPLDN holds monthly meetup events where community members come together to listen to some talks on WordPress and associated subjects, and then socialise afterwards.

David’s talk is aimed at anyone in the WordPress community that wants to learn more about blockchain, and is specifically geared towards those providing digital marketing services or working in marketing.
